Janet Nguyen was removed from the State Capitol two weeks ago. She went in today expecting to hear a formal apology from Senate President Kevin DeLeon, instead she ended up in another dispute.
The latest argument started when Rancho Cucamonga Republican Mike Morrell raised questions about the rules referenced after the February 23rd removal, and continued when Nguyen asked Majority Leader Bill Monning a question.
"It seems like the rules are made up when it's convenient or when it works for their end goal, which is to silence the rest of us," says Nguyen.
When asked why there was no apology from DeLeon, he said he was tied up in transportation meetings.
"I made numerous attempts to reach out," explained DeLeon.
Nguyen says she will accept nothing less than an apology on the floor, but DeLeon wouldn't say when that will happen.
