Elk Grove Police Looking For Walgreen Robbers

The Elk Grove Police Department is hoping the release of surveillance photos from the robbery of a Walgreens in the 7200 block of Laguna Blvd will help them track down and arrest the two suspects.

The robbery was committed just before 3:00 p.m. on April 26.  The suspects, who can be seen in the pictures below, walked into the Walgreens and jumped over the pharmacy counter. One of them to grabbed a pharmacy employee by the arm and demanded specific medications. Both suspects then took an undisclosed amount of medication from the pharmacy and ran out of the store.  There was no evidence that the robbers had a vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a black male adult in his 20s, 5'8" tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and light blue gloves.

The second suspect is described as a black male adult, 20s, 5'10" tall with a slender build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt under a black crew neck sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, and light blue gloves. 

Police are hoping you can provide a tip that will help them find and arrest the robbers.  Tip may phoned into the Elk Grove Police Department Communications Center at (916) 714-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Alert are allowed to remain anonymous, and you might be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.  It is also possible to send in tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
