Nearly 190 Southern California immigration suspects are behind bars after a series of ICE raids. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers said it was a five-day operation that wrapped up yesterday.
The sweep targeted criminal foreign nationals, illegal re-entrants and immigration fugitives. Arrests were made all across Southern California, from Inland Empire counties to Santa Barbara near the central coast. Authorities said the operation was to "locate, arrest, and ultimately deport at-large convicted criminals."
