A first for a veteran Australian fisherman when a nearly nine-foot great white shark launched itself into his 16-foot boat. Terry Selwood says he was just fishing off the coast of New South Wales yesterday when the giant shark flung itself into his boat. The 73-year-old tells the Australia Broadcasting Corporation he saw a blur and then felt a fin cut his arm. He then realized he was face-to-face with a giant man-eater.
"Well I'll be buggered, there's a shark in my boat!" Terry Selwood
All Selwood said he could think of is, "God, I've got to get out of here." He did and managed to radio for help. Selwood says that although he faced down a great white, it won't keep him from fishing.
