Rancho Cordova Honors Those Lost in Korean War

Approximately 930-thousand soliders from the United States and South Korea served in the Korean War and more then 174-thousand never returned home.  During a ceremony on Monday at the Mather Field Veterans Hospital each veteran was presented with the Ambassador for Peace Medal and a certificate to pay tribute to their courage and sacrifices.

Congressman Ami Bera was among the guest speakers to honor and remember the fallen from the Korean War and their families. Senator Ted Gaines also paid tribute to the Sacramento residents who died in service to their country.
