Swanky SoCal Desert Spot Hits New High Temp Record

Southern California is feeling the heat wave every bit as much as the Sacramento valley. Palm Springs residents are baking under sweltering heat. The National Weather Service said yesterday the resort community's high of 122 degrees beat the previous record of 121 degrees from 1957.

An excessive heat warning remains in effect for the Coachella valley through Monday evening.
