Avocado Price Spikes As CA Harvest Wraps Up

Avocado prices surge as the California harvest begins to conclude leaving not so tasty expectations. The Sacramento Bee reported the price of one Haas avocado may hit a $1.50 next week and could possibly double by month’s end.

September, though, will likely usher in lower prices as Mexican avocado imports ramp up. The California Avocado Commission said the Golden State provides 90% of the U.S. avocado crop.
