On July 27th of this year Sacramento police were received a 9-1-1 call about a man carrying a gun near the area of 20th Avenue and 36th Street. The Sacramento Police Department says two officers were sent to the area, while two uniformed SWAT team members who in the vicinity heard the radio dispatch and also went to the scene to provide support.
Officers say they spotted a man matching the description given in the 9-1-1 call and tried to stop him. He was later identified as 26-year-old Clifton Allison. They say Allison ran from them, so they chased. At one point the Allison allegedly refused to stop running and pointed a gun at an officer chasing him on foot. That unidentified officer reportedly fired five shots at Allison but missed with all five bullets.
Allison was eventually caught and arrested with a gun allegedly found nearby the spot where the arrest was made.
None of the videos released on Wednesday afternoon show the incident. They all show various officers responding to the arrest scene, but Allison had already been handcuffed and placed into a police car by the time they arrived.
Below is home surveillance video which captured the chase and arrest. The 9-1-1 call and dispatcher call to the first two officers is also posted below.
