Federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits are now available for workers who are affected by the wildfires in California.
Loree Levy, with the Employment Development Department, said residents can apply for benefits if they lost their jobs, are self-employed or had their work hours reduced as a result of the fire disasters. The application deadline is November 16th. To apply for the benefits, visit EDD's website at edd.ca.gov.
