Folsom Inmate Who Escaped From Prison Caught in Rancho Cordova

The Folsom Prison inmate who walked away last week is back in custody.  The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says it got a call this morning about 9:15 from someone saying they saw a man matching Todd Willis' description walking near Coloma and Rossmoor in Rancho Cordova.

When police arrived, Willis ran, was caught, and then got into a violent scuffle with police before being subdued.  He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, then taken back into Department of Corrections custody.  He'd been in minimum security housing and was scheduled to be released next July.  Both those things are off the table now because of the escape.
