Governor Brown Seeks $7.4 Billion In Federal Aid

Governor Jerry Brown is asking for $7.4 billion in federal funds to help the Golden State recover from October’s devastating wildfires. He is also allocating more than $40 million in state aid to be available for short term fire recovery, including debris and hazardous waste removal.

The federal cash infusion would go towards cleanup and environmental protection, recovery assistance programs for housing, health, and transportation as well as long-term planning and reconstruction.
