An event that's been a staple in the River City for more than four decades has heard it's final note.
The Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society announced the annual jubilee’s cancellation in a Facebook post Monday morning, ending years of speculation about its economic viability amidst falling turnout.
Initially known as the “Old Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilee,” the festival had been held in Old Sacramento every Memorial Day weekend since 1974.
