Major League Soccer will reportedly announce Nashville AND Sacramento as the next MLS expansion cities.
Officials with the MLS will be heading to Nashville Wednesday to make what they are calling a "big announcement."
Nashville and Sacramento were viewed as the favorites for the league’s 25th and 26th teams, with Cincinnati and Detroit the other finalists. A decision on the second area picked is expected within a few weeks.
Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg spoke to the KFBK Morning News and while he would not confirm the news, he definitely sounded happy when asked about it.
