CA Attorney General Encouraged By DACA Injunction

The California Attorney General said it was a good day on Wednesday.  He was talking about a judge's ruling to block the Trump administration from getting rid of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. DACA was established by President Obama to keep millions of Dreamers in the U.S.  Dreamers are young immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Xavier Becerra was in Los Angeles today and also said that the judge's ruling must remain in place for now, but America still needs a lasting solution.  President Trump tweeted after the decision yesterday saying the court system is broken.

In a statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called the ruling outrageous.  Sanders said it should be up to Congress to solve the DACA issue, not the courts.

The U.S. Department of Justice also says the judge's ruling does not change the fact that the program is illegal.

President Trump has challenged lawmakers to craft a longterm solution.
