Governor Jerry Brown is unveiling the details of his proposed General Fund budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
Brown says the $131.7 billion budget continues to maintain 10% of state revenue earmarked for the Rainy Day Fund. The budget also focuses on the state's K-though-12 school funding formula which is up by roughly $4,600 per student since the 2011-12 budget. Another $4.6-billion in gas tax revenue has been set aside for planned transportation improvements.
