Sacramento police say the man who grabbed an officer's gun and fired off three rounds is being charged with attempted murder.
The incident happened last Thursday near Sacred Heart Parish School at H and 39th Streets. Juan Carlos Heras-Castro had been at nearby Mercy Hospital for a mental health evaluation. He attempted to run from the hospital, leading to a foot chase with an officer in pursuit.
The shooting happened after a struggle between the two, but no one was injured.
