This weekend, the Folsom Police Department will hold an active shooter response training at Folsom High School.
The active shooter response training for employees from some area schools will take place on Saturday, March 3 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
As part of the training, several police vehicles and officers may be in the area around Folsom High. Simulated gunfire and mock evacuations may also be a part of the training.
This training is part of the police department’s ongoing partnership with local schools to promote safety and to respond effectively to any large-scale emergency.
