Sacramento Triage Center Will Remain Open For 3 More Months

Sacramento is taking another step forward in trying to solve the city's homeless problem.

Mayor Darrell Steinberg announced today that the Railroad Avenue Triage Center will remain open for at least another three months. And because this temporary triage center has been so successful, they're also looking into opening three long-term centers just like it over the next three years that would increase Sacramento's shelter capacity to 600 beds.

These plans are being made possible because of investments from Sutter Health and a large private donor.
