Lawmaker Demands CA Gov Pull Nat'l Guard Troops From Border

Tuesday, former California Senate President and current U.S. Senate candidate Kevin de León sent a letter to Governor Brown, requesting he terminate the deployment of Californian National Guard personnel on the border with Mexico due to the controversial practices of splitting immigrant families.

De Leon tells Brown that "three other governors have already withdrawn their own National Guard resources, citing the abhorrent Trump Administration policy of separating children from their families. California should not play any part in these inhumane practices."
