The suspect allegedly responsible for the death of a Sacramento County sheriff's deputy has been identified as 38-year-old Anton Lemon Moore (AKA Anton Lemon Paris) of Rancho Cordova, California.
Moore remains in hospital care at UC Davis Medical Center after receiving multiple wounds during an exchange of gunfire that killed 27-year-old Deputy Mark Stasyuk and injured 28-year-old Deputy Julie Robertson.
Sacramento Sheriff's Department spokesman Sean Hampton says a civilian was also shot during the incident, but the injuries were non life-threatening. He says Robertson is expected to fully recover.
The shooting took place at the Pep Boys auto supply store located on Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova. Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones says the Stasyuk and his partner were responding to a routine disturbance call when the suspect began firing. The suspect was taken into custody after fleeing and being shot by two other deputies who responded to the scene.
