New Details Expected In Golden State Killer Case

More charges could be coming today in the case of accused East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer Joseph DeAngelo. 

A news conference is scheduled today in Orange County is expected to bring an announcement of additional charges of rape. Prosecutors are also expected to announce where they would like DeAngelo's trial to be held as he faces 13 murder counts. 

Those murders allegedly took place in Sacramento, Orange, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties.

Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said the decision to try the case jointly in Sacramento County was made based on a variety of factors.  Ventura County District Attorney Greg Totten said prosecutors from all the affected jurisdictions would work together closely on the case.
