The United Way is now looking for volunteers to participate in this year's annual Day of Caring.
Organizers are looking for a thousand Sacramentans to help with more than a dozen projects September 21-22.
“We have lots of difference volunteer projects available,” said the United Way’s Amber Lovett. “Gardening, neighborhood cleanups, food sorting, building playgrounds…”
This year's focus is on larger, community tasks.
“We have volunteer projects that can accommodate between 40 and 50 people,” Lovett explained. “We really want to get a big group of folks out to accomplish big things on the Day of Caring.”
Volunteers have a choice of outdoor and indoor activities. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP AND PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEAR'S BIG DAY OF CARING!
