A Madden NFL 19 tournament in Santa Ana is one of three being canceled by the game's maker.

Electronic Arts announced today that the company is scrapping qualifying events for the Madden Classic after the violence in Jacksonville, Florida.

Two Madden players, who have been identified as 28-year-old Taylor Robertson and 22-year-old Elijah Clayton were killed when a shooter opened fire in the middle of the tournament. Authorities say a suspect who was also participating in the tournament, 24-year-old David Katz, took his own life at the scene.

EA says they are running a comprehensive review of safety protocols for future events.
