Police in Turlock are encouraging homeowners to use personal video surveillance systems to help the department fight crime.
The Turlock Police Department is asking people to register their home surveillance cameras with the department. This would give police the ability to know where to go when a crime occurs in a neighborhood, and use permitted video to gather more details.
Turlock is not the first city to request people link their home cameras to a local police department - Folsom, Navato, San Jose, and Vacaville all have registration opportunities.
