A motorcycle officer with the Stockton Police department is in critical condition after a collision this morning.
The crash happened in the area of Yokuts Avenue and Claremont Avenue, near Weberstown Mall.
The officer works in the traffic division and was out doing a distracted driving enforcement mission - looking for drivers texting or talking on the phone.
The driver of the vehicle involved is at the scene and cooperating with police. We will keep you updated as we get more information.
