One Killed, Two Injured In Plane Crash Near Palo Alto Airport

A pilot is dead and his two passengers are in the hospital after their small plane crashed in a duck pond short of the Palo Alto Airport. 

The crash occurred just after 11 o'clock this morning, and the injured passengers have been taken to Stanford Medical Center. 

The pilot is said to be in his 60s, but has not been identified. 

The flight originated from Redding and was in the middle of circling the runway for a second approach when the crash happened.
