Sacramento police released body camera video Friday of the shooting death of a 19-year-old Darell Richards earlier this month.
The videos released by the Sacramento Police Department included video and audio from 10 body cams, two in-car camera videos, two surveillance videos, three California Highway Patrol airplane video files, two dispatch audio files and the 911 call.
Sacramento SWAT officers shot Richards on September sixth. Officers went to the area of 21st Street and Broadway after someone reported seeing a masked armed person pointing a gun at people, according to police.
They found the man and ordered him to stop, but he ran away into a yard and hopped over a fence. Hours later, SWAT officers found him hiding under a stairwell. Police said when they told Richards to drop his weapon, he pointed his gun at the officers, who then fired at him.
