Major roadwork on Sacramento's Tower Bridge is causing traffic delays. Caltrans says there is only one lane available in each direction across the span from 6 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. today and tomorrow.
The same lane closures will continue each day next week through October 12th. There will also be full overnight bridge closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights.
Caltrans is upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, and the bridge work is expected to continue through the end of the year.
