People's Choice Awards 2017 - Red Carpet

In a new YouTube mini documentary following Jennifer Lopez on the It's My Party Tour: Showtime!, the singer/dancer/actress extraordinaire opened about her three previous marriages as she prepares to say "I do" for the fourth time. While JLo has legally been married three times in her life, she revealed in the documentary that she doesn't really count the first two.

In case you're like Jennifer and don't think about her first two marriages all that often, heres' a quick recap: she married a waiter in 1997 and a dancer in 2001. "I've been married three times, and once was nine months and once was 11 months, so I don't really count those. But I was married to Marc [Anthony] for 10 years, with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married."

"It seems like in this life you're always surrounded by people, you're never lonely-but it's very lonely. So you always want somebody with you," she explained. "And I felt like if I got married, I felt like I would always have somebody, but that's not how life works." She concluded that getting married for the company was "a bad reason to get married."

While she doesn't count her first two marriages, JLo is still close with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, from her third marriage. They share 11-year-old twins Emme and Max. Not only is Jennifer still close with her ex, her fiancee, Alex Rodriguez, has a friendly relationship with him, as well.
