TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development, which not only focuses on racing but also on off-road. And the 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax is taking what has been a successful formula for Toyota's midsize Tacoma pickup and putting it into the full-size Tundra.

It's big, standing nearly six and a half feet tall, nineteen feet long and almost 80 inches wide. There's also a whopping 10.6 inches of ground clearance, making this a serious off-roading machine.

Under the hood, it's the standard 5.7-liter 381-horsepower V8 found in all Tundras. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, it gets an EPA-estimated 13 miles per gallon in the city, 17 on the highway. Our mileage varied over a week of city street and urban freeway driving, never getting above 12 mpg.
