Florida Cops Taze Grandmother Three Times On Her 70th Birthday

A Florida woman was startled when police officers started pounding on her door around 7:30 a.m. on her 70th birthday. The officers said they were looking for her grandson, Tevin Turner, and had a warrant for his arrest. The police refused to show the warrant, and Barbara Pinkney told the officers they could not enter her home.

“We heard a knock at the door. Actually, there wasn’t a knock. I think they kicked the door. Bam! Bam! At the door,” Pinkney said.

She explained that her grandson, who was wanted for carrying a concealed weapon in violation of his probation, did not live with her. That didn't satisfy the officers, who warned her she could face arrest if they found Turner inside.

The officers tried to force the door open, but Pinkey resisted and tried to keep it closed. One of the deputies grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the ground. They tazed her three times and took her into custody.

“I was just hollering. I was scared. I didn’t know what else to do. I was just hollering,” Pinkney said.

She is facing charges of obstruction and resisting an officer.

The incident left Pinkey traumatized and she told WFLA that she has trouble sleeping.

Authorities said that Turner is still on the run and suggested that he fled Pinkey's home through the back door before the officers could search her house.
