In the early 1900's, fur traders and market hunting nearly wiped out California's sea lions. Since the Marine Mammal Protection Act was passed in 1972, these animals have made quite the rebound over the past 48 years. Now, they enjoy an abundant supply of shad, bass and king salmon in the Sacramento and Feather Rivers. Senior Water Policy Advisor for the National Marine Fishery Howard Brown says these animals frequently enjoy visiting Sacramento's waterways. Brown spoke with iHeart's Brody Fernandez on the sea lion's triumphant return and just how long we can expect them to hang out around Sacramento.
