Newsom May 26 COVID-19 Briefing: Modifications Allow Hair Salons To Reopen

California Governor Gavin Newsom is allowing barber shops and hair salons to reopen with modifications. Guidelines for these businesses were released Tuesday as 47 of 58 counties currently meet the state criteria for reopening.

As we all continue to move through the state's reopening plan, watch the Governor's latest briefing to find out what's next.

Among the counties given approval to allow hair cutting and styling to resume is Sacramento County. Placer, Yuba-Sutter, Yolo, Stanislaus, Solano, and San Joaquin counties are also on that list.

The governor said talks are in place with officials to allow nail salons and other personal services to resume operations soon. Newsom added the state is approaching 100-thousand cases of coronavirus.
