9 Dead In Marine Training Accident, Including Stockton Man

The U.S. Marine Corps has identified all nine people killed off the Southern California coast, including a Stockton man.

22 year old Christopher Gnem's identity was confirmed by the Marine Corps on Sunday night.

A Marine landing craft known as the “amtrac," sank in hundreds of feet of water in Southern California, Thursday night.

Eight people are "presumed dead" after an intense search, including Pfc. Bryan J. Baltierra, 19, of Corona, California; Lance Cpl. Marco A. Barranco, 21, of Montebello, California; Pfc. Evan A. Bath, 19, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; Pfc. Jack Ryan Ostrovsky, 21, of Bend, Oregon; Cpl. Wesley A. Rodd, 23, of Harris, Texas; Lance Cpl. Chase D. Sweetwood, 19, of Portland, Oregon; and Cpl. Cesar A. Villanueva, 21, of Riverside, California.

The other, Lance Cpl. Guillermo S. Perez of New Braunfels, Texas was found dead at the scene.

Seven other Marines were rescued from the water.
