Interstate 80 in Solano County has been reopened Wednesday night after being closed for several hours.
A wildfire burning nearby in Fairfield closed the freeway down in both directions, forcing cars to take alternate routes.
The fires were burning on both sides of the freeway between Air Base Parkway and Cherry Glen Road in Fairfield.
The fire is part of several wildfires burning nearby, with evacuations in Sonoma, Napa, Lake and Solano counties.
