"Extreme" Santa Ana Winds Spark New Wildfires In Southern California

The LNU Lightning Complex wildfire has grown in size with containment at 41% as of Saturday morning, according to state fire officials. Cal Fire says the fires have now burned 373,324 acres. About 1,300 structures have been burned since the fires in the complex began.

The SCU Lightning Complex Fire, which is now the largest fire burning in the state, now at 374,471 acres with 40 percent containment, CAL FIRE said as of 7:30 a.m. Saturday. 1900 firefighters are battling that blaze.

The CZU Lightning Fire, which is burning in San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties has now burned 83,133 acres and is 27% contained. 40,000 people remain evacuated with 10,000 homes still threatened by the fire and 575 homes destroyed.
