Bill To Provide Job-Protected Bereavement Leave

A California lawmaker is hoping to give Californians the right to properly grieve for their loved ones. Assemblyman Evan Low is reintroducing bereavement leave legislation and says "we should not expect loved ones to rush back to work." The bill would require businesses with 25 or more employees to offer ten days of unpaid bereavement leave and three days for employees of small businesses.
