The California National Guard will be a common sight for people going around downtown Sacramento for the next several days.
Tanks and troops are scattered all around the area to protect government buildings ahead of any potential unrest. Saturday was the first day 1,000 guardsmen deployed around the capital city. Sacramento police and the CHP are also working together to secure government buildings and keep everyone safe ahead of this week's presidential inauguration.
