CA AG Files Motion To Overturn Trump Admin's Rollback Of ESA Protections

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and other state attorney generals are challenging the Trump administration's rollback of Endangered Species Act Protections.

Becerra, as well as Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey and Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh filed a motion, seeking to overturn the administration's changes to the act in 2019. The multi-state coalition argues that the administration's attempt to weaken federal protections for endangered species also violates the National Environmental Policy Act and the Administrative Procedure Act.
