Sacramento Kings Announce When & How Fans Can Attend Games Again

Fans will be able to return to the stands for Sacramento Kings games at the Golden 1 Center starting April 20, reports KCRA3.

The team announced the decision on Monday, April 12, after the state announced they would be allowing indoor events starting April 15.

However, fans who want to attend games must be vaccinated.

According to KCRA3, the game on April 20 against the Minnesota Timberwolves will have a capacity of approximately 1,600 people. Seats will be reserved for front-line workers who have already been selected in a collaboration with local nonprofits and other corporate partners.

"We are thrilled to safely welcome fans back to the arena, starting with frontline workers who have sacrificed tremendously throughout this pandemic," Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis said in a statement. "We have worked closely with state and county public health officials and the NBA to implement comprehensive safety protocols and measures to enable fans to return to Golden 1 Center."

The Kings will expand the number of fans allowed in the arena over the upcoming games against the Dallas Mavericks (April 26), Utah Jazz (April 28), San Antonio Spurs (May 7), and Oklahoma City Thunder (May 9 and 11).

Tickets for the games on April 21, 26, and 28 will be available for season ticket members starting Wednesday, April 14, and the general public on Friday, April 16.
