Sacramento will soon consider an ordinance aimed at pulling the plug on gas use in new buildings, in favor of all-electric new construction.
Power Inn Alliance's Steve Blanton believes this potential requirement makes moving into the area a less attractive option. However, advocates maintain it's part of the transition to figure out how to make it work for manufacturing and cooking, and they say for most businesses, there's no conflict about going with all-electric new construction.
