Governor Newsom Anti-Recall Campaign Gains Major Funding

New reports show big money flowing into Governor Newsom's anti-recall campaign.

Netflix founder and co-CEO, Reed Hastings has given $3 million to Newsom's campaign, the latest donation to Newsom from supporters in the recall election. The California Nurses Association has also donated a significant chunk of money, reportedly giving $400,000. Under California law, Newsom can raise unlimited sums to fend off a recall, while other gubernatorial candidates are subject to campaign limits.

According to Deadline, Stop The Republican Recall includes other major funding from the California Democratic Party, Professional Engineers in California Government PECG-PAC and Stewart Resnick. The recall is more than likely set to make the ballot later this year, with the Secretary of State confirming that organizers passed the signature threshold.
