California power regulators are urging people to avoid using major appliances and to use as little electricity as possible this evening. Northern California is expected to see three days of 100+ degree weather, with Thursday seeing a high of 110 degrees.

According to KCRA, California ISO’s President and CEO Elliot Mainzer said Californians should set their thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using major appliances and turn off unnecessary lights.
