Highway Officials Claim Sacramento Roads Could See Increased Traffic

Highway officials say a number of factors could contribute to more vehicles being on Sacramento roads.

One is students returning to in-person instruction at schools. Another is companies requiring employees to return to offices. Then, there are the Bay Area transplants to the region. Over ten thousand new residents have put down roots in Elk Grove, Woodland, Folsom, and greater El Dorado County. Many work remotely, but if that changes, those super commuters between Sac and the Bay Area could make for some lengthy traffic jams.
