Folsom Residents Asked To Cut Water Usage

Residents in Folsom are being asked to cut their water use to preserve dwindling supplies.

Customers are asked to cut back use by 20% starting August 30th. Landscape watering is limited to two designated days per week, but drip irrigation systems can be used any day. Restaurants are required to only serve water upon request. Residents are also prohibited from washing down driveways or sidewalks with a hose. According to Roseville Today, new mandatory water use restrictions for residences and businesses include:

  • Washing of parking lots, streets, driveways, or sidewalks is prohibited.
  • The use of city water for construction purposes without city approval is prohibited.
  • Restaurants are required to only serve water upon request.
