A California man is sharing how his $150 annual Six Flags Magic Mountain pass helped him pay off his student loans.

The 33-year-old electrical engineer from Santa Clarita who goes by Dylan revealed in a feature with MEL Magazine how he managed to pay off his student loans, get married, and buy a house after seven years of making use of his annual pass at Six Flags.

"You can pay around $150 for unlimited, year-round access to Six Flags, which includes parking and two meals a day,” he told MEL's Quinn Myers. “If you time it right, you could eat both lunch and dinner there every day.”

The office Dylan was interning at in 2014 was just a five-minute drive away, so when he realized he could eat two meals a day, every day at the park for a one-time fee of $150, he took the unique opportunity.

He timed it so he could go to the park during his lunch break, go back to work, and then stop back for dinner on his way home.

“It was crazy — I was saving money, paying off student loans,” he explains. “One of my coworkers said she spent $1,500 a month on eating out, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m not going down that road!’”

While the food at the park isn't the healthiest, Dylan told MEL the menu has thankfully evolved beyond just pizza, burgers, and sandwiches.
