This morning colleagues and friends are remembering Kevin Nishita, a security guard who was fatally shot while protecting a news crew covering a story in Oakland.
Before working as a security guard, Nishita was a sergeant for the Colma Police Department in San Mateo County. Commander Sherwin Lum said he was always energetic.A $32,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or people who killed Nishita.
