CA University And State School Systems To Require Covid Vaccine Boosters

The University of California and the California State University system will require COVID-19 vaccine boosters for students and workers.

UC officials say those eligible must upload proof of receiving a vaccination booster by January 31st. The CSU deadline to get a booster is February 28th or six months after an individual received the final dose of the original vaccination. Both university systems will honor valid medical and religious exemptions. The system’s 23 campuses can are also allowing for students to set up earlier booster dates for compliance.

This announcement comes just after after the UC system announced a booster requirement and UC Davis said it would start the first week of the winter quarter remotely on Jan. 3. The decision to delay classes was made specifically to allow students time to receive their booster before the quarter begins, according to UC Davis officials.
