An award-winning Sacramento journalist landed a docuseries on HBO Max, according to ABC10.
Take Out with Lisa Ling debuted on the streaming service on Thursday, January 27, where Ling travels across the United States to examine Asian-American culinary traditions.
The show features a Folsom restaurant Hop Sing Palace, an established her grandparents once owned.
Ling says she hopes the show will give these Asian-American restaurant owners the chance to share their stories.
"It is time that we learn about a community that has been integral to America’s development but has largely been ignored by American history," Ling said in a statement. "These days there’s some type of Asian restaurant in practically every mall food court and Main Street across the USA, yet little is known about the diverse communities behind them."
Take Out with Lisa Ling is now available for streaming. You can check out the trailer below.
