A proposal to suspend a gas tax hike in California has hit a roadblock.
Republicans, and even Governor Newsom, support it. But Democrats at the Capitol want to keep the tax in place. Assembly Bill 1638 would give California motorists a FULL gas tax holiday. Rocklin Assemblyman Kevin Kiley is behind the proposal and says Golden State residents need a break from paying the highest gas prices in the nation.
